The "Fabbrichina" was bought by Filippo Lepri in 1906.
The industrialist immediately decided to convert the window pane production
plant into a classic white glass department.
On 7 February 1907, after eight months' preparation, the "Fabbrichina" reopened,
providing a hundred jobs.
Filippo Lepri concentrated on modernisation, which he achieved by investing
considerable sums of his own money in the 'Fabbrichina': he commissioned two
furnaces, installed a dynamo for the production of electricity and, in 1909
completed the coupage system for cutting and tempering glasses.
In 1911 the "Fabbrichina" had 250 employees and was the official supplier for
the State Railways and Navigation.
